TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have designed and taught a number of philosophy courses at Brooklyn College and Baruch College, ranging from introductory courses to an advanced capstone course based on my research. The capstone course is taken by philosophy majors or minors in their final year of college, and includes an extended research paper as their thesis project. Recently, I taught a learning community course at Baruch College that emphasized engagement with the cultural opportunities of New York City and their connection to philosophy. In a learning community, a group of first year students who take most of their courses together, I emphasize building relationships conducive for intellectual development and collaborative academic work, as well as exploring educational experiences in their communities at large. I have also spent the last three years working as a Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) Fellow at Hostos Community College, studying and implementing WAC pedagogy with instructors across disciplines.
